Et pour cause. Même parmi les action-cams haut de gamme, la concurrence est rude, et la marque californienne ne peut plus uniquement compter sur son aura pour séduire ! Présentation Comme à son habitude, GoPro reste très évasif lorsqu'il s'agit de parler de fiche technique. Si bien sûr le processeur maison baptisé GP1 est mis en avant, pour le reste, il faudra se contenter d'un "capteur de 12 Mpx", d'un objectif à la focale précise toujours aussi mystérieuse (mais à l'angle de champ d'environ 173°) et à l'ouverture inconnue. Le tout dans un corps étanche jusqu'à 10 mètres sans caisson externe puisque la Hero6 Black reprend le châssis de la Hero5 Black. Bref, de prime abord, pas grand-chose de neuf sous le soleil californien. Grave erreur ! Prise en main Les deux sont des GoPro Hero Black. Mais laquelle est la 6 ?C'est celle de droite. Mais pas facile à deviner, n'est-ce pas ?Sur la Hero6 Black, l'écran est, par défaut, légèrement plus faut vraiment la chercher, la petite sérigraphie sur la tranche gauche de la caméra, pour distinguer la Hero6 Black de la Hero5 Black. Car pour le reste, impossible de distinguer l'une de l'autre ! Voilà qui est plutôt bien, du coup, puisque les accessoires de l'aînée sont, de fait, totalement compatibles avec la plus récente, y compris la batterie de 1220 mAh qui ne permet qu'une autonomie de 80 minutes en vidéo, au mieux, surtout si vous ne filmez qu'en 4K ou 2,7K avec stabilisation électronique activée. Au passage, petite astuce : il est possible d'enlever le couvercle protégeant les connecteurs micro-HDMI et USB Type-C à gauche de l'appareil, ce qui permet de le connecter à une batterie externe tout en filmant. Idéal pour les longs périples et les plans-séquences, d'autant plus que si officiellement la GoPro Hero6 Black supporte les cartes microSDXC jusqu'à 128 Go, elle n'a eu aucune difficulté à reconnaître et travailler avec notre SanDisk Ultra microSDXC UHS-I C10 A1 de 400 Go, sur laquelle vous pouvez enregistrer jusqu'à 24 heures de vidéo en 2,7K 60p. Voilà qui laisse songeur... Toujours est-il que la ressemblance physique entre la Hero6 et la Hero5 peut être un peu gênante lorsque l'on dispose des deux caméras et que, voulant partir avec la Hero6, on se retrouve par erreur avec la Hero5 dans son sac. Inversion que vous regretterez rapidement sur le terrain tant les qualités techniques n'ont rien à voir !Le connecteur USB Type-C demeure de la partie. Notez que, même trappe ouverte, la caméra résiste aux projections d'eau. Mais ce n'est pas une raison pour l'immerger pour autant...Fabriquée par Samsung, la batterie de 1 220 mAh suffit à peine à assouvir l'appétit de la l'allumage de l'action-cam, les progrès apportés par la Hero6 Black sautent aux yeux, littéralement. L'écran arrière tactile, qui mesure toujours 2 pouces, est plus lumineux, plus lisible et le tactile se révèle bien plus réactif et précis. Tant mieux, puisque c'est le seul moyen de régler la caméra. Certains réglages ont changé, par exemple, il est désormais possible de régler individuellement sa sensibilité minimale et sa sensibilité maximale, mais dans l'ensemble l'habitué de GoPro retrouvera vite ses petits et le nouveau venu trouvera rapidement ses marques. Nous apprécions par ailleurs la clarté des menus, chaque réglage étant toujours accompagné de petites explications. Fort utile pour savoir pourquoi telle ou telle fonction n'est pas disponible dans tel ou tel mode ! Parce que, des incompatibilités internes, il y en a une liste longue comme un jour sans pain et à moins que vous vous amusiez à mémoriser toutes les subtilités de réglages. Toutefois faut-il retenir les plus importantes. Par exemple : la stabilisation (électronique) fonctionne dans tous les modes sauf en 4K 60p (mais en 4K 30p, ça marche). En photo, si vous activez le RAW, vous perdez le mode HDR appliqué aux JPEG, et vice versa. Enfin, la Hero6 Black ajoute une très pratique fonction de zoom (numérique), qui s'active en glissant le doigt à la droite de l'écran. En photo, ce zoom est disponible uniquement en JPEG. Notez qu'il n'y a pas de perte de définition, qui reste à 12 Mpx. En vidéo, c'est un peu plus compliqué, donc un petit tableau s'impose. Notez qu'il n'est pas possible de zoomer lorsque l'enregistrement est lancé, il faut donc régler tout cela au préalable. Le zoom se fait directement à l'écran, avant la prise de vue. Pratique !Avec la Hero6 Black, GoPro a sorti la "shorty", qui sert à la fois de mini-trépied de table et de il reste toujours la traditionnelle fixation GoPro. Qualité d'image Idée reçue numéro 1 : "les stabilisations électroniques, c'est sympa pour dépanner, mais rien ne vaut une bonne stabilisation optique, éventuellement doublée d'une stabilisation électronique." Idée reçue numéro 2 : "GoPro, c'est vraiment n'importe quoi : mais pourquoi ne passent-ils pas à la stabilisation optique ?" Que ce soit pour la première et la seconde idée, nous devons confesser que nous avons grandement contribué à leur propagation. Parce que, en temps normal, c'est vrai ! Mais avec sa Hero6 Black, GoPro nous oblige à reconsidérer ce que nous savions du potentiel d'une stabilisation électronique. Quelle que soit la définition (4K/UHD, 2,7K, Full HD), elle est vraiment impressionnante. Même filmés à main levée, certains plans peuvent faire penser qu'un gimbal a été utilisé, alors que pourtant, non ! Sur certaines actions, la Hero6 Black parvient même à faire mieux que la Sony FDR-X3000R, qui, avec sa double stabilisation (optique et électronique), était depuis plus d'un an la championne incontestée de l'exercice. Et la Sony, elle, ne sait pas plonger sans caisson... Bref, la stabilisation fonctionne si bien que nous lui pardonnons volontiers le fait de rogner 5 % de l'image. Ne serait-ce que pour la stabilisation, passer d'une Hero5 Black à la Hero6 Black est tout à fait envisageable. Mais, bien sûr, ce n'est pas tout. Pionnier de la caméra d'action, GoPro n'allait quand même pas laisser de "simples" smartphones tels les iPhone 8 et 8 Plus venir marcher sur ses plates-bandes sans réagir. En effet, les derniers terminaux d'Apple étant capables de filmer en 4K/UHD 60p et Full HD 240p, GoPro se devait, au minimum, de proposer la même chose. C'est donc chose faite, avec de la 4K/UHD 60p ainsi que de la Full HD 240p et 120p pour les amateurs de ralentis. Attention, dans ces combinaisons de définitions et cadences, la stabilisation n'est pas disponible. Pour le reste, la GoPro Hero6 demeure très classique, avec toutefois un mode 2,7K 4:3 qui plaira aux amateurs d'images anamorphiques et du 1440p qui sera fort pratique en post-traitement pour parfaire encore un peu plus la stabilisation. 512273 512271 512277 512275 Mieux stabilisée, capable de définitions et cadences de filmage encore récemment réservées au seul Panasonic Lumix GH5, la GoPro Hero6 Black est également, grâce à son nouveau processeur, capable de délivrer des images, en vidéo comme en photo, d'une qualité largement supérieure à sa devancière : meilleure dynamique, meilleur rendu des couleurs, meilleure exposition par défaut, elle la surpasse dans tous les domaines et permet à cette action-cam de devenir l'une des meilleures du marché, sinon la meilleure, tous modèles confondus. Et pour ceux qui aimeraient aller plus loin, rappelons qu'en photo, elle est capable de capturer des RAW de 12 Mpx et qu'en vidéo, il est possible d'activer le mode Protune, avec un rendu des couleurs "flat" et une accentuation minimale, afin de procéder à un étalonnage plus fin en post-production. Cette Hero6 Black est-elle donc parfaite ? Pas encore. Le son, même s'il a été grandement amélioré, avec une réduction du souffle particulièrement efficace, ne fait pas de miracle : ça reste une action-cam, ça sature vite, ça perd le fil lorsque l'on s'éloigne trop et sa piste son sera surtout là pour guider lors du montage. En basse lumière, la Hero6 Black accuse le coup, avec sa limitation à 1 600 ISO, et se révèlera très sensible aux couleurs très vives, qui tendront à saturer son capteur, avec un drôle d'effet de clipping. Mais cela n'arrivera que dans des conditions très spécifiques. Et l'autonomie, dont nous avons déjà parlé, gâche vraiment la fête, et ce même si vous désactivez le GPS et le Wi-Fi qui, la plupart du temps, ne vous serviront pas à grand-chose. Enfin, et surtout, c'est une conséquence directe de ses aptitudes vidéos : les fichiers générés par la Hero6 Black sont lourds, très lourds. Une minute en 2,7K 60p pèse 500 Mo, la même minute en 4K/UHD pèse 1 Go. Ajoutez à cela que parfois la Hero6 Black filme en et d'autres fois en et, au final, vous vous éloignez quelque peut de l'état d'esprit de l'action-cam facile à utiliser, pour des images rapides à partager, puisqu'il vous faudra un ordinateur digne d'un professionnel du montage vidéo pour tirer pleinement partie du potentiel de la GoPro. Tout, dans cette Hero6 Black, impressionne. Le choix d'un processeur développé en interne se révèle donc payant et permet à GoPro de reprendre la couronne qu'il était sur le point de perdre. Od premiery GoPro Hero 6 minęło już kilka tygodni. Nowy produkt zza wielkiej wody dostałem do testów na górską edycję Runmageddonu w Szczyrku. Okazja była więc idealna – najbardziej ekstremalny bieg w Polsce to typowe środowisko pracy sprzętów GoPro. Jak moim zdaniem sprawdza się w takich warunkach nowy sprzęt? Komu poleciłbym GoPro Hero 6? Zacznijmy od prezentacji najważniejszych funkcji premierowej kamery: Filmy o rozdzielczości 4K60 i 1080p240 Cyfrowy zoom, sterowany dotykowo Wodoodporna do głębokości 10m Tryby RAW i HDR Kontrola głosem dostępna w 10 językach GPS, akcelerometr i żyroskop WiFi i Bluetooth Kamera została wyceniona na niemal 2400 złotych. Co w pudełku piszczy? Paczka z GoPro Hero 6 dotarła do mnie na kilka dni przed szczyrkowskim Runmageddonem – tak, bym mógł zapoznać się trochę ze sprzętem. Otwieram więc paczkę, by sprawdzić co znajduje się w pudełku. W pudełku, oprócz baterii znalazły się: kabel USB typu C, którym naładujecie sprzęt i przetransferujecie pliki do komputera, naklejki mocujące, papierki (gwarancja, bardzo skrócona instrukcja) i plastikowa ramka oraz elementy mocowania. Jest to bardzo dobra wiadomość – wszelkie gadżety i akcesoria, które były kompatybilne z Piątką, z Szóstką również będą współgrały. Na uwagę zasługuje fakt, że kamera sama w sobie jest już wodoszczelna do 10m. Ekran oczywiście jest dotykowy i dobrze reaguje – przez cały wyjazd nie miałem z nim problemów, mimo że było mokro i zimno. Przyciski i wejścia zostały rozmieszczone w sensowny sposób. Na górze mamy guzik, który uruchamia rejestrowanie obrazu (zarówno foto, jak i film), z boku mamy włącznik. Na dole znajdziemy klapkę od baterii oraz karty pamięci a po przeciwnej stronie do włącznika – komorę z wejściem USB C oraz micro HDMI. Jak to działa, czyli pierwsze problemy Z racji niedużej wielkości wyświetlacza postanowiłem pobrać aplikację GoPro na telefon i przez nią obsługiwać sprzęt. Oczywiście wiedziałem, że jakość wyświetlania na ekranie smartfona będzie mizerna, ale miało to służyć jedynie jako podgląd i uruchamianie poszczególnych opcji. Niestety – w tym miejscu pojawiły się pierwsze problemy. fot. fotoManiaK Pomimo, że aplikacja została zainstalowana poprawnie a kamera skonfigurowana, to pojawił się problem w kwestii łączności. Na początku telefon nie mógł odnaleźć w żaden sposób kamery. Za trzecim czy czwartym razem załapał, ale tutaj, pomimo wpisywania poprawnych danych, nadal nie chciał się połączyć z kamerą. Dopiero po kilku kolejnych próbach wszystko zadziałało. Niestety, przy następnej okazji, już w Szczyrku kłopoty pojawiły się na nowo, więc zrezygnowałem ze sterowania kamerą za pomocą smartfona. Problemy miałem również z uruchamianiem i wyłączaniem sprzętu. Po prostu raz to działało, a raz trzeba było poklikać kilka razy, żeby sprzęt włączyć lub wyłączyć. Pomijając jednak te drobne kwestie, sprzęt dział naprawdę przyzwoicie i nie zawieszał się, kiedy filmowałem, fotografowałem czy po prostu buszowałem po menu. Jak się fotografuje GoPro? fot. fotoManiaK Jestem fotografem, więc na początek postanowiłem sprawdzić, jak Hero 6 radzi sobie ze zdjęciami. Kamerka oferuje obsługę RAW i wypuszcza pliki w formacie 4×3 o rozdzielczości 4000×3000 px. Ważną informacją jest to, że w RAWach nie możemy używać cyfrowego zoomu. Z resztą – to żadne ograniczenie. Fotografie z zoomem cyfrowym można wyrzucić z automatu. Jakość drastycznie spada, ze względu na to, że obraz jest powiększany programowo, a nie przez obiektyw (co widać na przykładzie poniżej). fot. fotoManiak Jeśli chodzi o RAWy to jestem miło zaskoczony. Hero 6 wypuszcza fajnej jakości pliki, a ostrość jest na naprawdę dobrym poziomie. Jestem zadowolony z takiej jakości – tym bardziej, że fotografowałem na wysokości około 1200 m gdzie było na prawdę szaro, mgliście i pochmurnie. Na uwagę zasługuje jeszcze ogniskowa obiektywu, jaki mamy tutaj do dyspozycji – jest to około 18mm, z bardzo silną dystorsją. Jest to ciekawy efekt, który może się przydać w określonych sytuacjach. Trzeba dodać, że sprzęt radzi sobie dobrze pracując pod światło. Mamy tutaj 12-megapikselowe zdjęcia, które ważą… około 4mb! Mało tego – fotografowanie w RAWach, to tak naprawdę tryb RAW+JPG i te same zdjęcia w JPG ważą około 7mb, czyli więcej niż RAW! Naprawdę nie wiem, jak to się dzieje, ale tak jest. Rozszerzenie RAWów GoPro to .GPR, więc trzeba pliki przekonwertować do DNG. Po konwersji rozmiar staje się normalny i 12mp zdjęcie waży około 12-13mb. Gorzej jest jeśli chodzi o szumy i szczegółowość obrazu. Używalne ISO to maksymalnie wartość ISO800. Później, w trybie manualnym, mamy do wyboru ISO1600 oraz maksymalnie ISO3200. Przy wyższych wartościach jednak szumy stają się widoczne, spada szczegółowość obrazu, a zdjęcie w ciemnych partiach nabiera winnego koloru. Hero 6 nie sprawdzi się więc raczej podwieszone pod koszem w hali. Zobaczcie, jak to wygląda. Mowa oczywiście o trybie burst, w którym będziemy robili zdjęcia na serii z prędkością 30 klatek na sekundę. Robi wrażenie, prawda? Należy jednak zaznaczyć, że przy takiej ilości ujęć sprzęt musi je przetworzyć i przez chwilę jest zablokowany, ale to naturalna sprawa. Filmowanie – czego chcieć więcej? fot. fotoManiaK Po testach zdjęciowych przyszła pora na sprawdzenie, jak GoPro Hero 6 radzi sobie z filmowaniem. I wiecie co? Jestem naprawdę pod wrażeniem. Sprzęt pozwala na nagrywanie 4k 60p, 120p lub FullHD 240p. Czy można wymagać więcej? Nie ma w tym momencie kamerki, która może pochwalić się takimi osiągnięciami – wystarczy zerknąć na nasz TOP-10 kamerek sportowych, aby się o tym przekonać. W kwestii jakości ciężko się do czegokolwiek przyczepić. Obraz jest ostry i szczegółowy. Kolory są odpowiednie, miłe dla oka, nie ma problemu z balansem bieli. Obraz nagrany w 60 klatkach jest płynny. Na uwagę zasługuje także stabilizacja – radzi ona sobie naprawdę dobrze. Może i nie da się biegać z GoPro, ale zwyczajne poruszanie się, bez nadmiernego machania urządzeniem, nie stanowi wyzwania dla Hero 6. Mile zaskoczyły mnie możliwości kamerki w kontekście nagrywania dźwięku. Mikrofon zbiera nadzwyczaj dobrze wszystkie częstotliwości, z niskimi włącznie. Pomimo dużej głośności nie ma charakterystycznej kompresji, którą często słyszymy, gdy rejestrujemy coś smartfonem. Jedyne zakłócenia, które powstają, są spowodowane ewentualnym zasłonięciem mikrofonu (co mi się udało, wszak nagrywałem z ręki). Dźwięk jest czysty. Zobaczcie, czy może – posłuchajcie sami: Praca pod światło również nie stanowi problemu dla tego niepozornego urządzenia. Sprzęt adaptuje się do nowych warunków bardzo szybko. Tutaj, pomimo konieczności użycia dużego ISO nie jest to bardzo uciążliwe. Dynamika jest przyzwoita. Jeśli chodzi o tryb Slow Motion, czyli po prostu rejestrację w dużej ilości klatek na sekundę, to przy 120 kl./s. działa to dobrze. Obraz jest ostry, szczegółowy, bez zafarbów. Dodatkowo – żaden program nie ma problemu, żeby go odtworzyć czy edytować. Poniżej nagranie w 120 klatkach, spowolnione do 60 klatek. Schody zaczynają się przy 240 klatkach. Przede wszystkim nagranie ma gorszą jakość. Nie jest to widoczne tylko na tym przykładzie – nagrałem też kilka innych testowych i jakość pogarszała się. Po za tym jest problem z otworzeniem pliku nagranego w 240 klatkach – ACDSee Video Studio 2 nie obsługuje takiego formatu. Udało mi się to otworzyć i spowolnić w najnowszym Sony Vegas, nie zapominajmy jednak, że jest to program profesjonalny i bardzo drogi. Używanie aplikacji Quick od GoPro nie pomaga, bo ta się wysypuje i przestaje odpowiadać – nie wiem czym było to spowodowane. Nie mniej jednak nagranie spowolnione 4-krotnie i odtworzone w 60 klatkach robi wrażenie i można wybaczyć nieco gorszą jakość czy pewne problemy z odpaleniem. Podsumowanie i ocena Przyznam szczerze, że mam pewien problem z podsumowaniem testu GoPro Hero 6. Z jednej strony to naprawdę udana konstrukcja, oferująca świetną jakość nagrań, z dobrym mikrofonem i niezłą stabilizacją. Z drugiej jednak jakość zdjęć na nieco wyższym ISO pozostawia wiele do życzenia, głównie przez zafarby. Są też problemy, o których wspominałem na początku, czyli łączność z telefonem, pewne zacięcia przy uruchamianiu i wyłączaniu. Czy jest to zatem sprzęt, który bym polecił? Tak, zdecydowanie polecę GoPro Hero 6. Dlaczego? Bo jest to kamerka, więc funkcja robienia zdjęć jest tu drugoplanowa, a problemy z łącznością czy zacięcia, choć nie powinny zdarzyć się w sprzęcie wycenionym na około 2400 złotych, to mocno nie przeszkadzają. Jeśli potrzebujecie kamerki z prawdziwego zdarzenia, to nic lepszego nie znajdziecie na tę chwilę. Jedynym rywalem może być Sony RX0, ale jest to bardziej aparat niż kamera, więc i grupa odbiorców jest nieco inna. Stabilization is capped at 30fps, but it's a marked improvement over the Hero5 Black, which could only offer this on Full HD footage, while stabilization is also possible at up to 120fps at Full HD. Want to capture stills as well? The Hero6 Black, like the Hero5 Black, can capture 12MP images in single, burst and timelapse modes. What's new is a built-in HDR (High Dynamic Range) mode for high-contrast new mode replaces the Wide Dynamic Range mode on the Hero5 Black, and, again thanks to the GP1 processing engine, it captures images with greater detail in both the shadows and highlights. And, if you're in the habit of venturing out after dark, Night mode is here for more accomplished low-light shooting. This action camera is as discreet as ever, with a very small logo on the front of the otherwise black-on-dark-gray device – you can't even see the logo when the camera is wearing its compact too, feels extremely durable (something that some more affordable rivals struggle with), and is waterproof (down to 33ft or 10m) without the need for a housing. As we experienced with the Hero5 Black, the absence of a housing also means that with no casing getting in the way of the built-in microphone, audio quality is that much better. Should you want to take the Hero6 Black deeper underwater, the optional Super Suit housing offers protection down to 196ft or 60m. It comes with a sturdy plastic frame that allows for all sorts of fun camera mounts, while the entire design is incredibly tight, snuggly fitting the microSD card right up against the user-swappable battery (confirmed to be the same battery as in the Hero5 Black, which is nice for cross-compatibility). GoPro packed a lot of camera into this design with the Hero5 Black, and we're even more impressed with it are 12 simple voice commands, covering pretty much everything you're likely to want to do with the cameraIt has a 2-inch touchscreen on the back for reviewing video and photos and adjusting settings, and it uses what seems like the world's tiniest touch-based user interface. You'd think this might be fiddly to use, but it's actually not too bad, with simple swipes and taps enough to access the Hero6 Black's settings and make changes quickly. The screen itself also looks to be an improvement over the Hero5 Black's, with that bit more clarity evident. If using the touchscreen is too much effort, the Hero6 Black also offers voice control. This isn't enabled by default, but it's easy to activate in the preferences menu, and you can then simply shout "GoPro start recording", or "GoPro take a photo" and the Hero6 Black will spring into action. There are 12 simple voice commands, covering pretty much everything you're likely to want to do with the voice control was present on the Hero5 Black, the Hero6 Black has a new Wake On Voice function. Turn the camera off with a voice command and your Hero6 Black with switch off and run a low-power listening mode, waiting for the command "GoPro turn on". Leave it longer than eight hours and the Hero6 Black shuts down completely.
